Vegas

Made it here, no problem. The skies were milky and weird, and today it’s grey and overcast. Not like you usually see Vegas! It’s usually bright desert sun beaming down on you through blue skies. But hey, I don’t mind this either. The original forecast was for like 95 degrees, well, still is for 93 today, but with the overcast, and being so dry, it just doesn’t feel like it is very hot. Fine by me.

We stopped in Pueblo on the way here, where we learned Andy has bought a Citation CJ3, is keeping it in Florida and putting it in a 135 Charter operation, for him to use on all his long trips. So no more Marco, Palm Beach, Vegas trips for him, for us. He had originally talked about getting a plane that I’d be flying, but he has a buddy in FL who does the charter, who has told him he could end up not having to pay much at all to be able to use his plane if he charters it out through him, so that’s what he’ll do. It probably makes the most sense for him, having someone else to manage, operate, maintain, etc., while he just hops on when he wants to go somewhere. A bit of a bummer for me, but I’m getting used to something coming along to make sure you don’t keep making good money or enjoy yourself for too long. ;) He’ll still need his guys flown around on small trips for investment purposes, in the small planes, so at least I probably don’t lose all those fun trips to Ohio, Illinois and Michigan. ;)  I need enough to keep Morgan busy too. It remains to be seen what Ethan will do with this. But he’s definitely going to have plane envy!

Steve and I are going to head down to breakfast here at 8 am, which is basically lunch time in Indiana! We have tickets to see a show in the Sphere, and we have reservations to eat a fancy dinner another night. We walked around yesterday and looked around, and we got tired by the end of the day and went to bed early. Maybe the only people in Vegas going to bed before 10 pm. ;)

We are in the Venetian this time, for the first time. Nice room, open space, plenty of room, view is of a few of the casinos, some mountains, and a lot of pools right below us. The back side of the strip. No soothing fountain this time, but we’ve done that a lot, so we thought we’d see what other things look like too.

Time to head down to eat. Back atcha later!
