So I went on Amazon and guess what. You can order jars of gherkin-stuffed pickles off of Amazon from an Amish (supposedly) that sells online. So I by gosh ordered from there and we'll see how it goes. If I don't even have to go into J Edwards to get my olives, fine. It'll probably save me from buying other things I don't need to be eating too. ;)
My left rear tire keeps going low. Steve was going to set me up with Mark, our old car mechanic. The cars are old, he's not. I said that I have a 2023 car that's supposed to come with maintenance, so we'll see how this works. I called in for the appointment, they got me in within the hour. I was only there for 30 min or so, and in that time they found a small nail, removed it and patched the tire, aired it back up, and did a full point inspection while they already had it. I had them check the brakes and they said my pads were still almost good as new and everything else on the car looks great. The bill for this was $0. So, that was a win. The $20 tire patch Mark would have put on wouldn't have been that bad either, but at least I didn't have to drive 45 minutes round trip to do it, just 13 min round trip, and I was in and out in 30 minutes, which also probably wouldn't have happened, and free is better than not free. Well, "Free", since we probably paid for a maintenance warranty. But anyway, I was pleased with the experience all in all.
I went through CVS drive-through to get Kaylee's meds. I pull up to the window and the guy flat-eye stares at me with no expression on his face, and I say "I'd like a pick up for Kaylee Stants, please", and he without blinking says "No." I stare at him for a split second and then he says "Just kidding". Calls me a regular (I don't really go through there very often) and says he likes to mess with his regulars. Then he asked for my birthday so he could check and see if I had any meds to pick up. I gave it to him and said I don't, and he says "Wow. You don't have ANY meds in here. You got a shingles shot not long ago and that's it". I said "Right", and he said "Wow, you're really healthy". I said "Well, I try." Then I paused and said "Actually, that's kind of a lie, I don't try much at all. But hey, I'll take it."
I stopped at Cracker Barrel because they had these little key hooks that I really liked but didn't buy last time we were there. I went back and got them, and reorganized my keys. My keys are really heavy and I only use like 5 of the keys regularly. So I took those 5 and put them on these lightweight little hook things to separate them, and I'll keep that in my purse. My bigger set with other keys (office key at the airport, hangar door keys for PT-26, etc.) I'll just keep on the bigger wad probably in my car.
The post office had my $1000 check for doing the fly-over in Peru, IL a couple weekends ago, so that's nice. Make money and have fun and honor veterans at a parade all in one swoop.
Came back and did some ordering of some things I need. Like Gherkin-stuffed green olives. ;) And a new watch band, as my other one finally stretched out and kind of fell apart. Now I need to get some dinner, figure out tomorrow's flights, and do something productive...
