Decatur

9 am this morning, wheels up with Morgan and Stephen, headed all the way to Decatur, IL. It was a whopping 36 minute flight. I did the flight over there, radios, flying, etc., and had Morgan do the flying left seat on the way home. While we were there, we walked over to a little diner on field and had breakfast and a beverage and hung out in there for quite awhile, then sat outside in the sun at a picnic table in the grass where I did paperwork, receipts, billing, etc., then we went inside to cool back off, pay my fuel bill, and get ready for the trip home.  Nothing too hard or exciting today, which was fine.

Kaylee called tonight, she works 10 hour days each day so she can have one day, Tuesday, off work, which is the day she goes down to Indy for an appointment or two, or just stays home and rests, whatever. She said that she likes having the day off but has to admit 10 hour days get long by the end of it. Of course with Tuesday being her day off, she only ever has at most 3 days in a row of the 10 hours, so that's not too bad.

Tomorrow is the big day. I'm taking six of us from Kokomo to Frankfort in the Cheyenne, picking up two more at Frankfort, taking 8 of us down to Kissimmee, FL, dropping off 4 of them, going down to Marco, dropping off 2 more of them, then taking the two of us (Steve and I) back to Kissimmee where we're staying for the weekend.  I haven't packed yet. I don't know what to pack. I hate hot weather packing. I don't do Florida clothes, I just don't. Hopefully all this goes smoothly. There are a lot of moving parts that could go wrong, and it IS Florida, and it is Florida in the afternoon. Storms, heat, turbulence, airspace shut downs, all of it are considerations for tomorrow. I always feel lucky when I get down there successfully, and now I have TWO sets of families to get down there in two different locations successfully. Wish me luck. And skill. But mostly luck. ;)
