The Week Begins

Monday was easy enough.  I took the 340 and Nick down to Ohio County, Kentucky. It's an airport out in the country, that slopes uphill, has no taxiway, and a small parking area. But they're trying to improve, and one of the guys there on the board came in and asked me what I looked for when I landed at places like that. They had bins of food/snacks and a fridge with drinks and a fresh water machine to refill water bottles, they had access to get in the building after hours and a courtesy car with the key accessible easily, they had wifi, I mean, they had most of what you need at a place, you know? They're building new hangars and are going to get a taxiway in, but they're trying, and I told them I liked their facilities and they were doing a good job.  Nick and I were there from noon until about 5 pm, so not a long or difficult day. I got home in time for airport Nick to put the 340 away for me, and I drove home.

Today I had no trips. Again, it was a gorgeous day and I feel this ticking time bomb of wastefulness when I don't do anything on them. I went out to Kokomo and ran BOB's left engine to check for suction/vacuum issues we're having. Ate lunch out there. Ran the car through the car wash and topped it off with gas, stopped by the post office where we hadn't been for a week so it was stuffed full of mail, including all our new insurance stuff.

I got in a bunch of house stuff, paid some bills, got ready for tomorrow's trip, re-purchased my ForeFlight subscription for aviation, and then went back out to Kokomo and drove Steve's Jeep down to Noblesville Airport with Cameron, Morgan and Steve along, to go to this month's CAF meeting. That lasted a long time. A two hour round trip drive plus another 40 minutes out to the airport and back afterwards. Came home and made a 30 minute phone call, which is tough for me, and now it's 10:45 pm and I need to get to bed before midnight so I can get up for tomorrow's long, hard trip to Decatur, Illinois. (It's a 36 minute flight over). I'm taking Morgan with me for this one. Won't be much flight time but she needs fun trip days too, not just instructional flights. Too bad this one is so short and to such a boring place, but hey...better than nothin'.

I feel a little less puffy, swollen, bloated, something, since I've mostly only drank water without sweeteners or sodium this week. I've had like 1 Diet Mt. Dew, otherwise I've had coffee with no sugar creamer added to it for my caffeine, and I do like it, it's Chobani zero sugar creamers, made with milk, cream, and natural enzymes. I've only had one flavor so far, but I'll be trying some of the others. I liked it. So far I like the water flavors I have, and I'm not missing anything, and it's healthier, so, so far so good.

That's about it. Just livin'.
