When I left there, I decided to push my luck. I went to the grocery store and picked up some more cat food for the picky bony thing as she's shut down eating most anything I give her now. So trying some more. So I did that, but forgot to get cough syrup while I'm there. I'm out. *sigh* I also got some egg nog and a card for my Aunt Minnie's birthday.
Left there, and went to the post office. Mailed off a packet to the FAA, mailed off a thank you card from SMA Support, and Aunt Minnie's birthday card.
From there I went to Panera and picked up some broccoli cheddar soup. I haven't really eaten in the last 5 days. Two days I ate nothing but a sleeve of saltine crackers. Today was the first time I really ate like normal-ish, and my stomach rebelled on that, too. Not used to it. But I think I'll be better now.
When I got home, I ate, and then I kind of crashed. So it was a good first excursion.
Tomorrow I have my first trip in awhile, going to the Peoria, IL area and then down to the Bloomington, IL area, and back around 4 pm or so. I'll have 'down' time in Bloomington, so if I need to, I'll rest. Weather isn't perfect but it shouldn't be super high intensity either.
I had told some pilot friends about the 12 year old kid who said I wouldn't be a real pilot until I had "like 20,000 hours", and one of them found this video of the T-6 Texan. It went into how it was the Pilot Maker, had a lot of old WWII footage in it, talked about how it was used until the 90s in some countries, was the only airplane used in over 30 countries for their military, and the title is "the plane that only real pilots could fly". So he posted that and it made me smile.
And this is Kaylee last night when I asked how she was doing in her new apartment. :)
