T-Minus One Week

It's Hump Day, it's "get the trash out for tomorrow" Day, and it's "I'm One Week In" Day.   Hump Day doesn't matter because I'm not working anyway, nor did I ever have a normal 5 day work week.  Trash out for tomorrow day may or may not matter.  We should probably drag the trash out before it gets any darker though.  Especially the recyclables.  One Week In Day, I think that's good, because I think I'll be working my way up now, and hopefully Steve and I will both be done with the Paxlovid and non-contagious and doing okay in a few more days here.

I slept 10.5 hours last night, with one time of waking up at 6 am. I don't normally sleep like that, ever, on any other night, so...I'll take it.   I feel like I've lost weight, but I haven't stepped on a scale in a long time, don't want to know, and I also know as soon as I stop having the, uh, intestinal issues, that I'll be surely back where I've started.  This is not the way to go about feeling thinner briefly.  lol  I'm getting more and more flashes of taste and smell now.  I smelled my shampoo for a second this morning, and I sort of tasted my coffee.  My unsweet tea tastes funny. I can taste SOMETHING, but it's not what it's supposed to taste like.  Other things I still couldn't taste or smell. Crackers and cheese, chocolate, broccoli cheddar soup.  But I do consider being able to taste or smell anything better than nothing, hoping it's stuttering back into normalcy, like little spurts of working, until it starts working full time again.

I ordered McCallister's Deli for dinner tonight for us. Steve's throat is really sore, so he just wanted some soup and Mac & Cheese.  These days life IS a lot easier with door dash delivery, places that can get you your food for a $.99 delivery fee as opposed to you having to call on a friend to see if they'd be willing to go do it for you, or just suffering in your house, or having to go out sick which is also uncool.  I also got him a gallon of sweet tea from there, and he's pleased as punch about it. That makes his throat feel better, and the rest of him too.  Sweet tea, the cure for the common virus. :)

Cats can get coronavirus too, but I don't know how we'd know, there's nothing we can do about it, and if so, well, she's got three things and counting that could take her out, and it's a race to see what's first, I guess.  But as of tonight she's curled up on a blanket in a corner doing just fine after eating a little and drinking a lot of fresh water.  Good enough.

I've caught up on clothes laundry. I'm going to wait until we're not contagious any more and then wash all the bedding, clean the bathrooms, disinfect the house. We have extra tests thanks to Spencer whose mom is a nurse, and we'll make sure we are "clear", and then do a deep cleanse of everything, including not just pillow cases, but entire pillows.  I clean up every day even though I'm not going anywhere, just to 1) make myself feel better and 2) cleanliness is next to Godliness and all that.  And mostly also just so you're not sitting around in a pile of germs with germy clothes and germy towels and germy everything. Seems like a person gets better faster if they're not simmering in germs, but who knows.  lol
