Anyway, we sneaked past Ann, drove to Marion, picked up our daughter, went to a BBQ place in town, had ice cream for dessert next door at a huge place that had marble posts and stairs as it was an old, old bank. Cool architecture. Kaylee was taking us around to some of her favorite spots in town there, and that was neat. We dropped her back off at her dorm, and it was nice to see her for an afternoon in her own environment.
Earlier Kaylee had gone to a pumpkin patch with a couple of her roommates, and bought a giant pumpkin that was so big she had trouble carrying it back to the car. She's such a goober.
I had two flights today with two young ladies. Isabel was first in the 172. It was windy and gusty, and we went up to practice some crosswinds. Next up was Morgan in the RG, and we are getting ready to jump into Instrument flying. Today we did some hood work, needle tracking, and crosswind takeoffs and landings. 2.5 hours of flying today in bumpy conditions, but it was good.
Tomorrow's my day off and I plan on taking it. Two days in a week where I don't plan on doing much. Sounds good to me.
