In fact that pretty much sums up today. Steve got his Covid "booster" shot after lunch, and so far he's doing all right. Our friend and instructor Jerry's wife Jane is on the ventilator in the hospital for a few days now, small changes, and I'll let you know more when I know more. They told him only 45% of people on vents make it back off, and I actually found that a positive, because that's way better than the odds I saw in real life with people I knew. If they're telling the truth and not just padding it to make a patient's loved one feel better.
I spent extra time next door today; Ann was having a more difficult day.
I fixed spaghetti for dinner, as I didn't want turkey for three meals in a row. :) We're out of cat food and milk so I'm having Kroger deliver that because I don't know if I'll be here tomorrow or not depending on the weather which is always moving.
Nothing good on TV, all re-runs, so I've been watching the "Bounce" channel, which has run "Gone in 60 Seconds" and "Lethal Weapon" and the good Steven Segal movies before he got old, slow, large and weirdly political. I still know all the lines from the Lethal Weapons I-III. I was spouting them at Steve as the movie progressed until he shot me the side eye. Why oh why can't I harness that brain power and memory to remember the things I actually need to know instead of the song lyrics and movies from the 80s? *sigh* I actually read a study about that. Music provides a dopamine hit, and apparently what you listened to when you were a kid to teen when your brain is still developing will be the most deeply seated. So that's the answer to "why". The next statement is, I wish I could replace those memories with more important things. ;)
