Another 7 am start, and I was out at the airport by 8:30. We were supposed to do a dual cross country, but where she was going was IFR, so instead I flew with her for awhile in the 172, and then sent her off solo for another hour. I was the only one at the airport until about 11:30, and then Nathan and Steve came in, and we got in the Aerostar and flew to Muncie. Andrew and Jamie came over in the RG, and we had brunch. Good stuff. I flew us to Metro next, Nathan inspected the PT-26, and Steve and Nathan put the panels back on it. I ran it up, taxied it around, shut down and did a leak check. It all looked, sounded, and felt good, so I took it up on its test flight. I heard a thump when I was up in the air, couldn't figure it out at first, but after I landed I think it was the rear canopy sliding open a notch. It felt good to get it back in the air.
We put that away, and then I flew us back to Kokomo in the Aerostar. Landed, and my next flight in the 172 was running and waiting for me. He shut down so I could grab a water and a bathroom, and then I hopped in with him and we went up and did stalls, engine out, all that good stuff. Takeoffs and landings. We ended at like 5:30.
Came home, cleaned up a little, and met with Nathan, Chuck, Holly, Andrew, Jamie, Steve and I and went to Cook McDougal's, for a birthday dinner for Jamie. Kaylee texted and asked if we wanted to go out to eat, but we were there and she couldn't go because you have to be 21 to enter. So I tried to get her to come over tomorrow instead but I think she's busy tomorrow.
Got home after 8 pm, finished a Hallmark movie with Ann, and then thought I'd catch up on this stuff. It took me a few minutes to catch up my logbook just from today. Good thing I'm not behind on it in general!
