Gifts

My FitBit says I went to sleep around 11:30 pm, woke up at 1:30, 2:30, and 4 am, before my alarm went off at 4:45 am, and I got almost no deep sleep.  I felt it, all day.  Ann and I got to the hospital at 5:45, on time.  They let me go back with her, and her procedure, once they started it, was done and over with in 15 minutes flat.  It took her awhile to wake up from it, mostly because she hadn't slept the night before.  ;)  I brought her home, got breakfast, meds, then over to the doctor's office for a post-op checkup, which went fine.  He said it was a "significant" cataract that he removed, and that her eye will feel irritated for a day or two, and then it should steadily get better and better.  We have to put three eyedrops in her eye four times a day every day for something like six weeks.  Then they do the right eye, and same thing.  Hopefully it'll clear up how well she sees.  :)

Had another brick fall in the Gift that Keeps on Giving today, but now it's not something to write publicly about.  Good times.

Kaylee, Steve and I (and Ann if she's up and around) are going to go vote tomorrow.  I was supposed to be in Minnesota, but that trip canceled today.  I had canceled four students for the trip, and I had written down who and when we were supposed to fly just in case, but I am missing that envelope, so either I or someone else tossed it.  It's heck getting old!  :D So I guess I'll go vote instead.   I was going to say "and sleep in", but 1) I haven't been sleeping in, and 2) I have to get up to go do Ann's first eye drops of the day.

I'm tired, I'm grumpy, I'm a little anxious, and I'm probably grinding my teeth in my sleep right now...if I stay asleep long enough to do it.  lol

Steve is working on his CFI renewal that's due the end of the month.  He has a whole 3 days to spare, right?!  Hahaha.

Night.
