Letters

I guess with the weather change, yesterday I didn't feel so well, my head hurt, and I had trouble.  Went to bed, woke up at 4 am, head hurt, took Tylenol, then by 5 am it was obvious that wasn't going to help, took something else, tried to go back to sleep, got there around 6 am, and my alarm went off at 7:15 for a flight.  I "noped" it, canceled her, and went back to sleep until almost 9, and felt much better.  Had a flight this afternoon at 3 and was fine.

Ann has her first eye's cataract surgery tomorrow morning, and we have to be there by 5:45 am.  She's even more horrified by that time than I am.  ;)  They gave us three bottles of eye drops for afterwards, and they're a month and a half's worth of multiple times a day every day eye drops.  She has trouble with eye drops so we'll probably have to help out on that.  Then the other eye gets done, and same thing.  That's a lot of eye drops, man!

More letters came out from the lawyer.  To the 85 year old man who privately owns the airport, Dale, to the airport itself, airport authority (all the people living there), the EAA Chapter that sponsored the Squirrels, because they sponsor the Squirrels, the Flying Squirrels, because the boys were a member of it and it has something to do with airplanes, of course us at FTC because we sponsor the Squirrels, the widow of the pilot, and I think that covers it for now.  Still nothing sent to SMA Support.  Either they decided going after a charity helping terminally ill children looks bad, or I just don't have my letter let.  I'm guessing maybe "B" there, as lawyers don't care if they look bad.  Blood suckers.  And shame on the family for doing that to innocent people, too.  I don't care if it's "just" insurance money and isn't a full-on lawsuit (yet).  That affects us too if our insurance rates spike up next time, or we get dropped because we've had a big claim.  I can't say how sad I am for their loss, truly.  This still isn't any kind of way to make it 'better'.  I'm so...disappointed.  Now I've got an 85 year old man scared to death of being sued for everything he has, losing sleep over it, and he had N O T H I N G to do with it.  He doesn't deserve that.  Neither do we.  Jerry made a mistake, and paid for it with his life too.  Blame who you want, but going after innocent companies and people for money just isn't right.  This is a public blog, anyone could see it if they knew the address.  And I'm okay with that.  I'm having a hard time not posting it publicly on Facebook for all of them to see.  I won't, because that would be unwise, and I am not unwise.  Just a little angry.  So here it stays, for now.

Kaylee, Steve, maybe Ann, and I are going to go vote Wednesday.  Steve did the background and looked up the information so Kaylee would know who was on the ticket, where to get the information on all the candidates, etc.  She appreciated that, as a first time legal voter.  :)

Guess that's about it.  I'm going to have to get up at like 4:45 am!  Gah.  Oh well, I guess I've been waking up that early anyway.  But at least I didn't have to GET up.  :p   So tomorrow it'll be going to the hospital for the eye surgery early, then to Dr. Wild's office for the post-op checkup, then lunch, then I have a flight lesson at like 5 pm.  Then I have to get the Cheyenne ready for a trip to Minnesota on Wednesday.  Also I hope to get a nap in between there sometime so I can handle the flight...

And now you're caught up.

OH!  P.S.  My student and I today were on base for Runway 5, and she looks down and says "Does that say TRUMP??"  I looked down, and sure enough.  So we circled around to get a photo of it from the air.  Made us both laugh.  I wonder if his neighbors know, because I don't know that you could even see it from the ground.
