Over

Steve cooked us up some tasty brats and hot dogs on the grill at home (which from what he said sounds like it is on its last legs now) and we had a nice lunch with Cathy and all of us here.   Lon came around 5 and helped Ann and Cathy hang up some photo frames on the wall, and then they were off and heading back south.  Cathy had a gift for me, too, even though it's Richard's birthday.  :)  She had an extra headache med that I'm going to be able to try out next time I need one, and see if it does me any good and would be worth pursuing more aggressively.  It feels nice having a back-up plan past Advil and Tylenol for just in case, hopefully a back-up plan I won't actually even need.

Meanwhile, a friend of mine flew into Kokomo today.  It was a little last minute, he is ferrying an Ag Cat from California to Delaware, and his next stop was supposed to be in Ohio.  He ended up being an hour and a half behind schedule, so he just stopped here for the night instead.  I gave him a tour of the hangars and what airplanes are around, then he hadn't eaten yet, so I joined him for a late dinner and then just to catch up for awhile.  I don't really get out that much with a buddy, so it was nice...

He did say "Hey, you wouldn't have any trouble with an Ag Cat, if you want to take it around a bit, I don't care."  People shouldn't say things like that. ;)  I didn't, of course.  It has the same engine as the T-6 but the 3-bladed prop is really close to the ground.  Interesting looking squatty thing.

The weekend is over, back to the Monday...
