Kick Back Night

I like Fridays. :)

I ran around this morning. Bank, post office, Redbox to pick up movies, the store to grab some paper towels for the office, etc. We had home made potato soup at lunch at the office today, which was quite good. Unfortunately it was a 'hungry' day for me, and I ended up eating most of the day, which isn't helpful. ;)

After I picked Kaylee up, I took her around on a few more errands; Computer Nook, Fed Ex, and the post office again. When we got home, she had to clean her room and then she got to watch a new kids' movie I rented for her today. We get it for one day, so she wanted to watch it a couple times in a row, and I let her. Hey, it's Friday!

We got in the house, and the cats came up to love on Kaylee a little. She says "Mommy, Roadie smells like sweaty feet." I turn around and look at her, and she pauses and says in this distracted, hand-waving, blow-off voice "Oh, never mind, that's just me." Crazy kid.

We've gotten several calls from the newspaper article on flight training. One guy came out to the airport ready to go on his lessons in the Mustang. Nathan explained to him that he had to start out in the T-6 and build up time in that first. The guy's reaction? "Oh, should I get my pilot's license first?" We all had a good laugh out of that one. Not making fun of him in a mean way, just that um, yes, you'd best be able to fly a plane, preferably a high performance, complex taildragger, prior to moving into the T-6 well before moving into a Mustang. :)

Tonight, I relax. Chocolate drinks, salty snacks, laptop on the lap, shows on the tv, spouse getting to hang out with friends, child in bed, cats curled up nearby, relaxed. :)

"Doubt is most often the source of our powerlessness. To doubt is to be faithless, to be without hope or belief. When we doubt, our self-talk sound like this: 'I don't think I can. I don't think I will.' …To doubt is to have faith in the worst possible outcome. It is to believe that even if I do well, something I don't know about will get in the way, sabotage me, or get me in the end. Don't let doubts define you."
