Frozen Friday

I actually went to bed at 11:30 last night! That's shocking for me. ;) I did wake up pretty peppy this morning though...I know, who'd have thought it, huh?

The snow we got wasn't enough to cancel schools, so I drove Kaylee to school, went to the store, met with someone for a few minutes, then headed home to work for a few hours before heading out to Glenndale for our lunch. Attendance was down to about 20 people thanks to the weather, but we had burgers and hot dogs and good company, so it's always good. :)

When I left the office, the roads were getting really slick again-it had snowed for the previous couple of hours, and it was just not great out there. I was coming around a curve in a road, where I couldn't see past the curve. Once I got around the curve, there was an accident right in front of me-nothing serious, just a fender bender from sliding-but in my lane and in the lane next to me-and there was a car in the next lane. I started braking but it was too slick. Fortunately the other car moved over just enough that I could squeak next to him and miss the pile-up. I wasn't worried about being hurt-I wasn't going fast enough to be hurt-but all I could think was "NOT my new car!" :)

I picked up Kaylee at school, and then (slowly) drove out to Kokomo airport to drop off a contract and pick up Steve. There were four wrecks between Kaylee's school and the airport...

On the way back home, I passed a sign at a church that said "Does anyone have the schedule for Global Warming?" which made me laugh.

Oh, I've enjoyed all the emails about the Schlumpadinka post. I hear ya! Sisters of Schlump Unite! ;)
