The Day Off

I did not fold clothes. In fact, I did not change out of PJs until almost 4 p.m. Well, in part I woke up with a throat so sore I couldn't hardly swallow, but that has thankfully gotten better, and is currently down to a "scratch". Ugh. No, instead I spent the day curled up on the couch with a novel (which I just finished) and a steady stream of beverages.

Last night, Steve and Kaylee camped out on the deck together in sleeping bags. This is a little special thing he'll do with her now and then, and I've camped out there with them once too. But not this time. ;) The heater keeps them warm, and Kaylee feels like she's having a Great Adventure. Steve had a flight today, and when he came home, he took Kaylee hiking next for some daddy/daughter time. They had a good time, and came home with egg nog and candy, and after I fixed dinner we all had homemade Egg Nog Shakes. :)

A lovely way to spend a Saturday...
