I have gotten 2/3rds of my bloodwork results back. My last bloodwork was almost a year ago, and in that time my fasting glucose has dropped from 92 to 81. That's excellent. My total cholesterol went from 191 to 168. Also excellent. LDL dropped 11 and is now only 4 "high". Everything else is also looking good and normal with the exception of my creatine and EGFR or...kidney. Of course kidney. Those are both worse than they were a year ago, but I could kind of feel it sometimes as an ache in my back. Especially in the heat of summer, I overheat and dehydrate and I try not to, but sometimes I have no option. So I'm being as kind as I can to them, don't take meds that would hurt them, all the things. Feels like I drink water stuff all the time. I don't even like water that much. *sigh*
Kaylee's old carpeting has been torn out, the padding and the new carpet is in her room, but it's not cut and tacked down all the way yet. Close-hopefully they'll be done tomorrow and we can put her room back together.
Morgan's trip home from Teterboro today, the guy she has to fly with to build her 10 hours King Air time physically grabbed her hand and took it off the power lever and put it on the yoke in the middle of her takeoff. He insists you takeoff with both hands on the yoke because you're going to fly no matter what, like in a jet hitting V1 and V2. Except a turboprop isn't a jet. I've never had anyone tell me to do that in training, so I've polled other King Air pilots to see how they do it. She'll be able to do it how she wants once she's out of the cockpit with him, but him grabbing her hand and putting it on the yoke did not sit well with her (or me). Just no.
Oh. I had PT today and talked to him about where to go from here. He measured me, and I still have a five degree bend in my left knee. He said I could continue to work on it on my own, that having gained 8 degrees is great, but that it's best if you can keep the difference between the two knees to just a couple degrees, or it can mess with the rest of your muscles, structure, etc. So I agreed to keep coming once a week for another month and then see how it's going from there. I did leg presses today, and they had it at 70 lbs, and I was like "I don't mean to be that guy, but this is really easy" so they made it 90 lbs and it was still pretty darned easy but they told me to leave it there and do 30 reps, which I did with no problem. So...progress.
No other news. Argh. *sigh*
