Day Off

It was a good day to get done a lot of the things that I was putting off getting done. I canceled my Sirius XM so it wouldn't jump to $30/month, and then they asked me to stay for $12/mo, $10/mo, and eventually $7/mo so I took it. I probably could have left it canceled and had them come back at me later for cheaper, but I was good to have this minimal effort at that price. I did stuff like that all day. Sent out airport stuff, organized things, spent the whole day, like I said, doing things like that that I'd put off doing. It felt pretty productive.

Kaylee is still home sick, and asked for Thai food. Did you know that not one place in Kokomo was open for Thai food from 2:30-4 pm? So I ordered one to be delivered when they said it would be open at 3:30 pm and it got canceled. So I ordered it again for 4 pm and that arrived at like 4:20 pm.  Meanwhile, I was going to stay home and eat Thai too, got myself some, and the guys were going to Harvey Hinklemeyer. But Morgan had a bad day, and she was going to come up to go to HH, so I put my Thai in the fridge, put in my contacts and put on my jeans, and went to HH. Afterwards the ceilings finally lifted a little, so we went out to Kokomo and flew the Champ for an hour. I hadn't flown the Champ in a month and a half. I rode in the back, she flew us to Glenndale and did a couple takeoffs and landings that weren't her greatest, so she was going to leave and go back to Kokomo, and I said I wanted to do a couple, and mine were good, so then she felt unhappy with hers since I showed her up, and had to go do another two that were better, then went back to Kokomo and just rolled them on. Had to redeem herself, and did. Asked if I wanted to do a couple back at Kokomo but I was like 'no way, my last two were good and it's too much pressure after those two of yours'. ;) My job was to make her feel better tonight and I succeeded. ;) Afterwards we sat in the hangar and talked for awhile, and I made it home around 9 pm. Wasn't how I planned the evening, but it was good.

Kaylee texted me and asked if I knew where she could borrow or buy an inexpensive sewing machine, as she wanted to work on her clothes some. I will probably ask Chuck if he has anything left of Judy's, but I'm pretty sure he donated all hers to other places. I don't know where else to go but maybe he'll have an idea...

Tomorrow we're trying to get the T-6 over to Ohio. We'll see if that happens. If not maybe we'll fly the T-6 locally when the weather allows, if it does, or maybe fly the 172 that needs an engine break-in after a couple new cylinders. One way or another, we'll do something.
