BOBbing

I got it done!

The weather was just barely good enough, so I flew BOB down to Frankfort to fly with Doug, because his friend was coming into town, he had limited time, and the winds were supposed to be really bad at Kokomo and more down the runway at Frankfort. We went up and he did well today. I ran through all the stuff, manual gear extension, all the TOLS, etc., and he was doing a good job with the landings. After 6.6 hours of dual, I called it good, and we landed and I did all his paperwork too. I got my end of the job done. Got me current, got JP current, got Morgan current, got Mike fully checked out, got Doug fully checked out. I flew 17.5 hours in BOB in the last 10 days. Not shabby!

That took me through 2 pm. I landed back at Kokomo in a nice crosswind, and the mechanics started working on BOB; they have until Thursday to get some stuff done on it before it heads down south to start the Air Power History Tour.

Meanwhile, I was getting texts out the Rear End with questions and trips. I counted 56 text messages in just a couple hours from six different people with multiple trips and issues. Ethan about his trip Thursday, about the Conquest on Monday. Logan with a trip to MN, Clay with a trip to IL, Terry M with an MBros trip to Ohio and W. Virginia, Clay with a trip to Michigan, Morgan with her trip to NY tomorrow, Glenn with the guys and the Air Power stuff, on and on. I was swamped, and it was one rapid fire question and text after the other with me having to go back and forth and text and look up and flight plan and all the things. It was over-stimulating, and I hadn't eaten all day, so finally at like 3 pm I drove to Wendy's and got a burger, sat in my car and ate it in peace and quiet, and finally settled in.

Steve, Mike and I ended up going to Pastarrific for a late dinner, hung out and chatted, before I picked up some food for Kaylee and came home to catch up and be ready for tomorrow.

Morgan has a trip to NY with questionable weather in Pennsylvania, and I have a trip to IL with no real questionable weather. She wanted me to swap, but I want her to get back in the groove on trips. So she's kind of mad at me, but she needs to work it. Good stuff.

I pulled something in my knee yesterday, and today it's very sore. It's swollen and I can't bend it very well. It's on the left side just like my bad arm, so I am now a gimp. Hopefully I'll take some more Tylenol and swelling will go down and it'll get back to normal. It feels weird like I hyperextended it too, and I know when I did it, but I didn't think I did anything that bad. Apparently I was wrong. Also apparently my joints have gotten a little weak sauce or something!

Kaylee and Molly came over for awhile and hung out, until I started watching NCIS and getting ready for tomorrow's trip.
