My courtesy car was a truck with a CB in it, and other com stuff inside, and a light bar on top with working strobes and lights and stuff. I took it into town and got lunch, and flipped on the lights once, just because I could.
At lunch I got a lamb "yeeero". The guy after me ordered a "Jie-Roh" and the guy behind the counter sighed.
While I was waiting, I'm now on the "golf cart" text list. Fourteen of us on text and people ask for Golf Cart rides to or from various gates up at Oshkosh. I said I was on Norton Rd. in Columbus OH and asked for a pick-up. But nobody answered. I thought it was funny...
We landed back at Delphi where I dropped off Nick, circled over the airport to say goodbye to Ethan and Nick, and the autopilot kept kicking on and leveling my wings because I was going over 45 degrees bank angle. Telling me what to do again. :p
When I got to Frankfort, I got the plane ready for tomorrow's trip, and then drove quickly over to Kokomo, to pick up two packages that had been left there for me, and I pulled out the Aerostar to top it off and have it ready for Wednesday's flight up to Oshkosh. I added two quarts of oil, shoved it away, went through the post office, hit Cone Palace for a snack/dinner, and finally headed home to catch up on paperwork for the day and planning for the next three days.
I've got tomorrow's trip to Caldwell, NJ to file and plan for, then home, then Wednesday's trip to Kansas and back, then Wednesday's trip to Oshkosh, and several of those have some tricky things to deal with. Like Wednesday night I may need a time slot if it's IFR. Etc. So...been working on that. Also need to pack for Wednesday-Sunday. One thing at a time.
