Our business bank got a new mobile app, so we had the "fun" of getting that set up. I had a stack of checks to deposit, and they all got rejected because of an issue with how I did it, but once I figured that out, it was actually a pretty good app, fancier than our other one was. It automatically reads the check and enters the amount, removing the lines where you have to manually put in all the info.
Kaylee had a cardiology follow-up appointment today. He said that her report was pretty normal, that the "abnormal" things that happened were such a tiny percentage of the overall that there was nothing to worry about there. He also said that her body has gotten used to the beta blocker, and her heart rate is still a little higher while resting than he'd like to see for someone her age, so he wants her to increase the beta blocker in the morning. (She takes 1/2 a pill in the morning and 1/2 a pill at night). He also said she could increase the compression stuff by wearing compression garments that even compressed her middle/organs. She decided that probably wasn't going to be something she was going to go for.
So you know my colonoscopy showed the diverticulosis in about every area (ascending, descending, whatever the words were). And that I'm supposed to avoid nuts and corn. That's all they said, nuts and corn. What about Grape Nuts? I like those things, and they're fiber, which I'm supposed to increase, but surely those tiny little things could get caught in there and be a problem, right?! I just Googled, and apparently everything my doctor said is the opposite. You're supposed to eat more fiber unless you're in a flare-up, and then you're supposed to avoid fiber. You used to avoid nuts and seeds but there's no evidence that that actually does anything. So I guess Grape Nuts should be fine too. I hate the medical community. Get your shit together, will ya? ;)
It was laundry, dishes, banking, shipping, ordering day. No flying. Same with tomorrow, and then I'll learn how the rest of the week goes. It's either:
1) Fly with Ethan and his family in the Conquest out to Gunnison on the 6th. Spend two days. On the 8th, fly everyone back home, then same day fly down to Florida to pick up Nick's family and bring them home. THEN on the 9th, fly the Conquest back out to Grand Junction, CO, drop it off for 2 weeks of maintenance, and then airline home late the 9th. Or
2) Ethan flies his family out to Gunnison himself on the 6th. On the 7th, I fly out to Grand Junction in the Cheyenne and spend the night. On the 8th, Ethan brings his family in the Conquest to Grand Junction and leaves it there for maintenance, and I fly us all home in the Cheyenne, after which I fly down to Florida same day to pick up Nick's family. There is no additional flight out west.
With 1) I earn another day's pay, but it's also a lot, and long and I have to airline back home and get home from Indy late at night again. Not my favorite thing. With 2) I have to borrow Nathan's airplane again and I lose a day's pay, but...easier and more efficient. The deciding factor is whether or not Ethan wants to fly his family out there by himself, with potential snowy weather moving in. We shall see.
The car company has tried to reach me by text, phone, and mail, to buy my car back. We just went looking through options if I traded mine in for the next model, only to see that there isn't a 2025 Charger except an all electric one that's 2-door. I don't want that at all. No wonder they want my gas-guzzling Charger so badly. ;)
Time to watch the only thing on TV tonight, the President's address. I may have to mute it and turn captioning on, I don't know. We'll see what the democrats have decided to do. I heard disruptions, props, walk-outs, etc. There's nothing else on TV and I've already caught up on all the Reachers, so alas...
Speaking of Reacher. Holy cow, man, that guy is a walking art form physically. They've made sure we know it, too, with about 6 gratuitous "in his underwear" shots in the first four episodes. Fair is fair, since half-naked women are always all over TV. ;)
