The trip out to Colorado actually put me in a lot better mood. It was frigid out there, too, but the sun is so bright, and the skies so clear, and the air dry, not wet and cold, that it FELT a lot warmer, and it was definitely brighter, and it just gave me a nice little better attitude adjustment.
They got the plane done a full day earlier than we expected, so I didn't get to drive around the mountains and check things out, but I am not sorry to be home, either, except for the whole plumbing thing. They got done, I flew the plane over to Gunnison, picked up Ethan, he flew us back, they checked the right engine and did some avionics stuff, and then he and I flew home. Clear skies, decent winds, easy flight.
Landed just after 8:30, and now it was cold, dark and wet again. I turned my car on from the air, downwind, so that by the time I got in it, it was nice and warm and toasty. Cheating is fun. ;)
Anyway, I'm home. Gonna run next door, hit the bathroom, and hope I don't have to do it in the middle of the night now...
