We got the insurance in on the Meridian finally for Morgan and Cameron. They're requiring them to have 50 hours in type, which is a LOT, and unnecessary, but I don't know a way around that. So I'll go first, take Morgan and build her hours up next, then Cameron's. He has a jet job in Indy already, so he's the back up for the back up. But at least we're on the way.
Tomorrow I'm headed to Minneapolis, not sure yet how lovely that weather will be, up super early, and then finishing Cameron's checkout in the Cherokee Six so he can do instrument instruction in it with Ethan's friend and the new part owner of the airplane. The fellow who doesn't want to fly with Morgan because she's a girl. I'll be wiped out after tomorrow, up so early, over 5 hours of trip flying, then instructional stuff for several hours.
The winter funk sort of set in. Even on my days off I haven't felt like going out and flying or doing anything productive. I've spent a lot of time just sitting in my chair reading or watching TV or household stuff. I hate winter.
Politics has been wild. Other presidents have tried what Trump is trying with DOGE. I would dearly love if someone, anyone, could actually do something about the ridiculous government waste. Instead of raising taxes again, how about we not spend $200 on a hammer, so to speak, just throw money away. It shouldn't be that shocking of a concept, but it's been impossible to actually successfully implement so far, apparently. We'll see how it goes.
Here comes Monday...
