Wisconsin, Iowa & Florida

This was a particularly long one. The last three days have been a blur, so I'm going to have to short cut it.

I only slept for about 3 hours. I fell asleep around midnight and woke up at 3 am, couldn't really get back to sleep, got up at 5:30 and started the day. Morgan and I took the Conquest and took Andy and another, took off from Frankfort 7:30 am and headed to Medford, WI.  Tiny place, we were there about an hour and a half, and then headed to Ames, Iowa. Took a car and went into town to get some food. Made it back to Frankfort around 3. I was super tired, but Morgan was still there waiting for her brother to be available so I couldn't really nap. At 5 pm, Ethan and family arrived, and we took off for Panama City. I dropped them off, got enough gas to waive their $175 fee, and landed at 10:30. I got home around 11:45 pm and went to bed as quickly as I could.

The morning had a stunning sunrise. It was so vivid that when we got on top of the clouds, the clouds below were glowing pink and orange, but mostly pink. You don't see that all that often, but this was just beautiful, and it lasted a long time. I had a pretty sunset on the way home from Florida too, but nothing beat the sky full of pink UNDER you.

I took a ton of photos and Morgan took several too, so I'm going to post most of them. I also heard a guy on Guard talking about how the comet was still there, but faint. I took a lot of photos to try to capture it, but didn't get it. Instead I got a lot of photos of the stars at night, though...also beautiful, and I was alone in the plane, so that was kind of nice too.
