End of Season

Today was a trio of fly-ins to 'celebrate' the end of the flying season. We went to two of the three.  It was Noblesville's final fly-in of the season, and Timber Homes over by Lafayette.  Steve and I went in the yellow Citabria, and Morgan and Chuck when in the red/white Citabria. We went over to

Noblesville in formation, landed, had lunch, and ran into a bunch of people I don't really care about and a few I do. We took off and went over to Timber Homes, had dessert and a drink and met more people I don't know that well and a few I do. I wasn't feeling super People-y today which was unfortunate. It was a beautiful day and it was a nice time. I ended up running into several ladies I find annoying. One who mooches off of people and showed up mooching another hour in a Stearman. One who mooches off of people and tries to force them into doing things for her and her daughter and wants everything to be about 'girl power'. Two more who are also big about the 'girl power' thing. They just annoy me. I don't care about the girl power thing and when you do SO much, it bores me.

Anyway. Two fly-ins, checked in, said goodbye to a lot of people for the season.  Mostly I find that depressing, as you know. The fields are mostly harvested, from the air everything is looking brown, and I just want to sit on the couch and pout.

Chuck and Morgan are in the white/red one, Steve and I in the yellow/white one.
