Well...

We canceled the Oshkosh trip for Tuesday because of the weather forecast. Which didn't end up being very accurate and we probably could have gone and had a good day with a little rain dodging in the middle.  But as usual, things worked out for the best. I woke up at like 8, went back to sleep until 9:30, and woke up feeling beat up, headache, dried out, just icky.  The 4:45 am thing followed by staying up past 1 am (couldn't sleep) on top of everything else just wiped me out. I didn't really get off the couch until noon. I took vitamins and drank water and coffee and even tried to nap a little bit twice today. Had to take meds, and finally around 2 pm was okay.  So I'm glad I didn't have to try to go into Oshkosh.

Instead, I emptied out the fridge of anything that would go bad before we get back, took out all the trashes, cleaned up the kitchen with one last load to run when I leave tomorrow after I drink my coffee, finished packing my bag, grabbed the few things Steve forgot that he wanted me to bring for him, filed my OSH flight plan early (they want you to), looked over the NOTAM again (34 pages but only about 5 apply to you at any given time), remembered a sweatshirt at the last minute (it always gets cold around the fire at night or during the night airshow), and I THINK I'm ready for tomorrow's last minute stuff.  Throw the makeup in the bag, switch cars so I take the Buick out to sit at the airport for 4 days instead of my car, run the dishes...I write these things out because it's my own personal TTD list and it'll help me remember to do them, not because I think anyone else cares. ;)

Did I mention already that Steve has been turning on our living room lights after I've gone to bed? They're an hour behind me, and I've had to go to bed early because I was sick and getting up so early, so I'd get up in the morning and the lights would be on.  I was like...man. I forgot to turn those off.  At least twice, I assumed I left them on.  Then one night I KNOW I turned them off, and they were on.  Then I was like... STEVE...

Now it's 11 pm and I'm having trouble getting to sleep because I slept so much today, but I need to be up at 7 tomorrow to start my own trek to Oshkosh, so, girl needs her sleep.  Will sign off, shut everything down, and work on getting sleepy.  Next time I post should be from Oshkosh, if all goes well. Not sure I'm in the mood to sweat and walk and sunburn and WALK (we're camped way out in the boonies this year) and shower in the shower house.  I've gotten plenty of outdoor time with my Air Power Tour work this summer already.  I didn't mind hanging around my house with nothing I had to all day. But I would want to be out and about again soon, so might as well make it tomorrow. ;)  And yes, I will travel safely, or do my best anyway.
