The No Go

I woke up at 5:30 am for today's trip to Michigan that I prepared for the evening before.  When I woke up there was a HUGE wad of thunderstorms. There was no way. This wasn't a "we can work around it" batch, this was a "Nope" batch. I texted D, he looked at it for 20 minutes, then decided to cancel the trip.  I couldn't go back to sleep, but I did have a very productive day at home, which I needed.  It's one of only two days in the month of June I wasn't flying. Instead I did a bunch of stuff I'd been procrastinating on, as usual. I always feel quite pleased at the ends of those days.

Kaylee stopped by tonight. Steve put in new floor protectors in her car, and is trying to put in some protection in the back so that Ruby the dog can get in back there and not destroy the new black interior with claws or hair.  I think they bought and figured out something that should work.  He also put new floor protectors in my car too. It needed it--the dark carpeting in my car collects our gravel driveway grit and all manner of crap and my carpeting looks bad two days after I vacuum it.  Now it won't and it'll be much easier to clean out.  So that pleases me.

I unfriended three people on Facebook recently, that I've been 'friends' with for a long time. They believe differently than I do on politics, which I'm perfectly okay with, except they've been relentless already with the half-baked memes with half truths, and we haven't even gotten into the worst of the upcoming election and political firestorms yet. I don't go to FB for partisan fighting, and I don't go there to read non-stop political stuff and get mad at it because I'm too polite to engage the fighting, either.  And too busy.  So I didn't say anything, I just removed myself from the situation. They can post what they want on their own walls and I don't have to deal with it.

I did engage with one guy on FB relating to a recent Lockheed Electra accident with one particular YouTube "personality". I managed to write it in such a fashion that I made him agree with my logic, without even getting mad.  Another guy on the page liked it so much he invited me to be an admin on the page.  lol  I am half waiting for the YouTube Narcissist Himself to see my post and attack me. He's attacked everyone else who has commented something similar to what I said, including a former buddy of his who also has a YouTube channel and does the same thing he does on "accident reviews".  He turned on him fast when the guy did an episode on his accident and he didn't agree with the outcome, which was really funny, considering he himself jumps the gun on everyone's accidents and provides guesses, half truths, full lies, all served with sides of arrogance and condescension. Doesn't like it so much when the shoe is aimed at his foot, or some such analogy. ;)  If he does attack me, he will lose his cool, because he's been unhinged in several other posts. I will let him come unhinged and I will remain logical, and he'll block me (he does that too to people when he can't beat them), and it'll be more proof of his own...mental issues.

Well, a bit more to do for tomorrow's trip before I head to bed.
