Went out to the airport at 6:30 pm when Dave got back with the C-45. It was a GORGEOUS evening. Light winds, clear skies, cool temps, it would have been a perfect fly day. The Champ was open and nobody was out there. It was the perfect time for the perfect flight. And I didn't feel like it. Dave offered to help me put away the Beech, but I didn't need help so I sent him on his way to drive home, I tugged it away, secured the plugs and oil cans, and then stared at the Champ hangar for 30 seconds before deciding that I just wanted to go home. So I did.
Kaylee went back to her apartment, she has an interview Tuesday for a place to work in Marion after her internship ends. She really, really wanted to work where she is doing her internship, but they said they didn't have anything available. She even offered to continue an internship there without being paid and they said they couldn't. She's bummed because she loves it there, the work, it's in the field she wants to be part of, eating disorders. She left them her resume and hopes maybe she can work there in the future. But in the meantime, she needs a job, so she'll be applying at a place in Marion that is more state run, not the quality of clients or conditions that she'd most love to do, but she's aware you don't always get to do everything exactly the way you hope from the get go.
We're watching Olympic try-outs, because nothing else is on, and wrapping up a few things, getting ready for the week. I need to get plates for the two new cars. Need to fly with Morgan in the C-45 if possible this week. Hopefully go pick up the Conquest at some point early this week. Etc.
