KIrksville

This morning was a trip to Kirksville, Missouri.  We left at 9 am and headed over. Blue skies, no problems.  The plane dumped oil all over the ramp.  I took the car into town and ate at Diner 57, had breakfast at 11 am, got some gas in the courtesy car, which was running low, then came back to the FBO and did some work, read a little.  We didn't leave until 3:45 pm.  Landed at 5:45, and then I needed to beat it to Indy Exec, where we had a CAF meeting from 6:30 until 8:30 pm.  I left early because I'm going to have to get back up at 6 am for tomorrow's trip to Kentucky, by Lexington.

Kaylee had an interview with the CEO of the facility in Ft. Wayne that she'd like to intern with, and of course the lady loved her and wants her to come on board with them. Details to follow soon.  Like I told her...even when things seem to be going wrong, things usually work out for the best, and you never know what the next opportunity is going to be.

Our CAF wing is looking at acquiring a Stearman next.  I'm going to at least get checked out in one--they need more Stearman pilots on the Air Power History Tour too.  I could then fly the Stearman, T-6, and C-45 on tour.  They want me on the bombers too, B-24 and B-29, but I'm not sure I'm so interested in that.  It's a lot.

Steve had his deposition today towards the lawsuit. There were 10 lawyers in the room and him.  The questioning lasted for over 6 hours, with one 30 minute break for lunch.  He thinks it went smoothly and is glad it's done.  And onward it goes.

My ramp mess today

Sun dog!

Further away sun dog.
