Wheels up around 8 am, headed to Evansville. When I got there I took the courtesy car and went into town to the Sunrise Cafe for a light breakfast of bacon and eggs, and when I got back to the airport, I was the only person in the pilot lounge, so I tried to take a little nap. It was ice cold in there, and I had my little jacket, which helped, but I don't know how much rest I actually got. Around noon I left for Huntingburg, Indiana, which was a 7 minute flight away. They had a courtesy car too, and I took into town around 1 pm for lunch at this little place in town called the Old School Cafe. It was a neat little place. Unfortunately my chicken salad wrap had no grapes, no walnuts, and an excess of onions in it, so that wasn't a win, but the garlic fries and the blackberry rolls (like cinnamon rolls only with blackberries) were well worth it and tasty. ;)
We got out of the there before the big line of thunderstorms went through, and I barely got leveled off in the Conquest before it was time to come down again. It's nice to have some of these trips go so quickly.
Steve was trying to get out of here tomorrow to go to OSH, but he has more legal paperwork to fill out before he goes, which just came in, so he's been working on that, plus every work airplane that we have is having maintenance issues, plus all our people are leaving for the week, plus he hasn't had time to pack yet. So he's trying to get everything done that he can here, and I'll probably try to get him up there Thursday.
Now, I need to do some laundry for him, get some food for us all, and get ready for my trip to TN tomorrow in the mountains to take my other clients down. That's just a drop off and go, so about 1/2 a day including the drive to Frankfort and back.
The water main in front of our house being worked on with our torn up driveway and yard now.
The vegetable/fruit stand where I got good fresh stuff
The little cafe in town
One of the thunderstorms I went around today.
