I did not get the 340 stuff done. The question was, for example "Why do you have to turn the lights to the retract/off position" when the book just says "Be sure to turn the lights to the retract/off position". It doesn't answer any of the questions, which is irritating, and I spent a long time looking through trying to find those answers.
I did get up early and make it down to Indy Metro to do our CAF PT-26 and CRM groundschools this morning. After getting almost all the way to Indy Exec. I went to the wrong airport, or almost went to the wrong airport. We meet at both. I had to look it up in the car to remember which one, and I had assumed wrong. Duh. But because I'm such an early person, I still made it 5 minutes early, even after having to turn around and go the other way. ;)
We had a good turn-out, around 6 people who Zoomed in (on the computer), two guys who flew in from the Ohio Wing, and probably 20 of our own guys. I was the only female there as usual, but I kind of get a kick out of it because I'm also basically the main pilot and instructor in charge, so it's kind of funny. We did CRM first. Four hours of that. Watched and discussed videos. Accidents, incidents, NTSB stuff. How to utilize crew, what goes wrong. How it relates to the single pilot airplanes like we mostly fly. Then came the PT-26 stuff. Another three hours of that. Nick led that, and I'd pipe up as needed. We had homemade potato soup from Rick B., and it was really good!
I drove home in time to get Ann. I stopped at Culver's and picked her up an Oreo Mixer (Blizzard) to go with her dinner. When I arrived, Kaylee was here. She just stopped in for a few hours, to nap on our chair and see her cat, mostly. She just left here around 9 pm to go back for the night, and then we'll see her Sunday night or Monday morning when we head for Vegas.
Tomorrow I lead the C-45/BT-13 modules, starting at 9 am. One more long day, and then CAF groundschools will be done until I have to do the T-6 one, whenever it comes up. I do that through the WI Wing and I haven't heard that it's scheduled, yet. I need to pack for Vegas. Tomorrow. I'll do that tomorrow.
I had a headache this morning too, woke with it at 3:30 or 4:30 am, couldn't tell without my glasses, but I took meds and went back to sleep. It was still there a little bit at 7:30, but finally it was gone. Here's hoping that's the last one for the month.
Half the room, anyway.
