Last Nice Day?

Maybe almost.  I think tomorrow morning will be fine, and then down we go for days, to cold, wind, rain, and clouds, again.

Today was beautiful in the afternoon. It warmed up really warm, almost 50. The sun was out, the winds were calm. It felt like Spring and it made me want to take the T-6 up. When I said that to Steve, he was quiet for 10 seconds and then he said "I'm pretending like I didn't hear that".  Lol  Don't worry, I didn't.

I had a student this morning, shooting the tricky approaches at Marion and Kokomo into the full holds/missed approaches, that she could get on her IFR checkride. Then I was supposed to go to Ohio to pick up Ethan's 340, but he ran an hour late, and I had a 2 pm flight and we ended up not able to go. He later found out that it was crappy in Ohio anyway.  The 2 pm flight was someone getting comfy in the 172 again, and did great. And after that was when it was so perfect out. I wasn't ready to be done flying, but I had to be, basically.

I ran home to take care of Ann, and brought her one of her favorites, an Oreo Blizzard. I got a small turtle one and then only ate half, but I enjoyed that half.

Kaylee texted me "this is so cool". I waited for the photo, nothing came, I said "What?" She says "Compass Rose". Now, a Compass Rose is an aviation thing, something you check the accuracy of your mag compass with.  I was still confused, waiting for a photo, so I said "I don't see a photo, but they are cool". She said "I didn't send anything, just saying that so far what I'm doing at Compass rose is super cool".  That's the name of the place she's doing her internship at, apparently!  Lol  I told her "OHHHHH.  A compass rose is also an aviation thing! I was very confused. That's great!"  She said "The cliical director is my supervisor! I'm working on the clinical team with all the therapists! That's usually only for masters level interns--the last intern they had before me was in the masters program.  Basically it's a residential facility and I'm working on the clinical team vs the educational or spiritual team. There are 4 therapists and the head therapist is my supervisor. So I hang out with therapists and go to groups, and basically I'm hoping this will help me to be a mini-therapist.  I got an ID badge to swipe in, and a key, and a laptop, and a tumbler cup, so I feel cool. And they gave me my own desk space and left a note." This note says "Welcome to team CRA Kaylee!".  So I joked and said "Welcome to Team Cray Cray, eh?" (Slang for crazy).  She shot me a picture back of Roadie giving me evil side eye and said "haha".  Anyway, she is pleased with it, and her last line was "I'm so excited".  Hey, I think that's great, I hope it's as cool as she thinks.  :)

Tomorrow we try again to get the airplane. Wish us luck.  ;)
