Ground and Grounded

I felt really, really, really bad last night and first thing this morning. The fever definitely made everything worse. Skin hurts, joints hurt, eyes hurt, brain hurts, everything hurts. The Tylenol brought it down to about 102 before I went to bed. This morning when I woke up it was about 101. I had to get up at 8:15 to get ready for my Zoom call groundschool for the 340, which lasted until about 3 pm or so.  I set up my computer at 8:15, and then laid back down until 8:55. I wasn't sure I could do it, because sitting up was hard. I was wrapped in a blanket and still shaking. I didn't turn the camera on, that's for sure.  I ordered cold medicine from Meijer and they wouldn't deliver it.  And they didn't even bother texting me or anything about why, they just didn't.  So I had to send Steve out, because we didn't have any meds, and I needed meds. I made it through the groundschool, and then a couple of hours later, I started sweating like crazy.  My fever broke after that.  I've now got the congestion, somewhat runny nose, and a cough starting up.  Good times, right?  Typical winter viral "crud" so far, whatever it may be.

Apparently I missed night before last. Not much happened, except I took an IFR student on an IFR cross country, for real.  It was 300' overcast and a mile. There were places around at 1000' and staying that way, and I had 5 hours worth of fuel, so I had plenty of outs. She had never been in IFR before and we were going to go when it was 500' and 7 miles.  It then dropped to 300 and 1 and I decided to go anyway. She was ready. And she was, she did great.  She hand flew all the way to Richmond, IN where it was 300 and 2, and shot the RNAV down.  Then hand flew back to Kokomo and shot the ILS 23 down to 300 and 1.  It went well, she learned a bunch, it gave her some respect for IFR flying. She said "You do this by yourself??"  Yes I do, and you will too.  :)  It was a great learning experience for her.

Ha

This is where I tried to show the size of the van without a person by it

Front Seat shown to try to show size

Nutter Fort.  Hehehehe

Nope, still doesn't really show how big it is

I drove down there to see if they did tours, but unfortunately not.

This is the road by the airport. Mountains and narrow

Nope, still doesn't show size

That kind of does though
