Breeeeezy

It was gusty today. I marked myself off this morning to try to recuperate and get some stuff done, and went to lunch with my friends for the first time in a long time.  Then at 1:30 I had a flight in the Champ with Morgan. The winds were around 22-25 knots, but not far off of the runway. It was still really rough and bumpy up there, but she's advanced enough that we did it, and I took her to Glenndale where the crosswind was bigger, and she dialed it in within a few landings. Next up Isabel had a Champ lesson too. She's not as far along and doesn't have her endorsement yet, and doesn't usually like bumpy, so we debated, but finally we went anyway, and stayed at Kokomo. She would have been in trouble without me, I had to rescue most of them, but she did pretty well for as new as she is at it with winds gusting to 25 knots.  I was supposed to have a 40 minute T-6 flight after that, but a line of storms was moving in, which canceled both that flight and my 9:30 pm night flight. I wasn't sorry about either one, as gusty as it was today.

I had a fistfight with Wal-Mart, too.  Last night I ordered a delivery for 9-10 am this morning. At 9:30 am I got a text that my order was delayed. No problem. At 10:30 I got a text that Michael my driver was on the way. It never showed. It said it would be delivered by 8:15 am. Um, it's already 10:30. I use their customer service thing at 11:30 and they say "sorry, here's $15 back, just wait for the text that it's coming." Well, I had flights from 1:30-11:30 pm scheduled at the time!  After my flight ended at 4, and my 5 was canceled, I drove right to Wal-mart and went in and stood in line at the customer service desk for 20 minutes only to be told to go back outside and go to the pick up area even though it wasn't a pick up.  I got there and called them and in my "I am being patient for about another 5 minutes" voice, told them what was up. They found my order and put it in my trunk and I left. I got home, and I contacted Wal-Mart customer service again and said they'd better take off my $9 delivery fee and the tip for the driver that was pre-done considering it was neither delivered nor was there a driver. They gave me back the $9, took off the tip, and gave me another $10 hassle fee.  So I 'made' $25 in stuff I can get at Wal-mart next time around for my hassle.  ;)

I've given up on waiting for the Cheyenne currency, so the plane is grounded for now. I've scheduled two C-45 checkouts for Friday and this upcoming week and hopefully get that done.  I'll be going to LaPorte, IN for a paid gig doing rides all weekend. Originally I was supposed to do them in the C-45. Now someone else is going to do them in the C-45 and I'll do them in the BT-13 after I get the C-45 to LaPorte and someone else gets the BT there from Terre Haute.  It's been a little clustery, and I'd like to give rides in the C-45 at some point too, but I'm not a paid sponsor and Glenn and JP are, so they have first dibs.

Kaylee has another internship she may do starting next week.

Ann didn't remember who I was when she first saw me, and didn't remember that I lived next door to her, or that she lived in Kokomo.  She was okay this morning, then not okay again later this evening.  She's very confused.  Physically healthy, mentally fading.
