Okay

It’s Saturday. I woke up early, my first rider was early. We pulled the plane out of the hangar, I checked the oil and wiped the bugs and pulled the prop through and loaded up, and ran through lunch. Got my lunch, had two long rides, and then they tacked on more at the end, so I ended up doing 8 rides.  I had to get fuel twice, and I didn’t stop much.  Rick B. helped me walk them in and out, load them, brought me a drink, and helped marshal me in. He was worn out by the end of the day. I was worn out too, and would have been more worn out if I’d have had to do that job on top of my own.

Fifi showed up at the end of the day, finally. It was supposed to be on tour with us these last two weeks and had maintenance issue after issue. Then yesterday and this morning the weather tanked. So it finally made it this evening, and has four rides to give tomorrow to try to catch up.  I’ve got 9 am through to 2 pm I believe for riders already, and then whatever walk-ups happen.

Tonight I had dinner with Glenn and mostly Fifi crew I didn’t know, and after we sat down, I realized I had run out of peopling.  I could not people any more. I was tired, I’d been “on” since I woke up this morning, I’d had no moments of rest or silence or time to myself, I’d been surrounded by people All Day Long, and still was, by 8 pm. It was too much, and I don’t think I pulled it off very well either. I’ve rarely been so glad to get back to a hotel room before. D-o-n-e.  If anyone tries to call me, my phone will be off. lol

Tomorrow I’ll be up around 6:15, and then do it again…
