Winding Up Again

Ann woke up feeling like her normal (new normal) self. She ate, she changed clothes, she was relatively coherent, she was up and walking, and seemed to be doing well.  I'm going to see if I can maybe get her hair cut tomorrow.  Her older brother George is coming to town and wants to see her. I don't know how that's going to go but I know she'd at least want her hair washed and cut.  Her nails need done, too.  I cut them once but that skeeves me out.  Nails. I can't do the cat's nails and they need done too.  I need living things to do their own nails.  :p

I canceled Airline Alan on BOB today because the winds were too gusty and crosswindy for his first time out hitting takeoffs and landings.  For my comfort level as much as his.  And then I took the Champ up with a 40-50 degree crosswind gusting to 25 knots and ran it around just fine.  But it's one thing in that plane, and it's another thing sitting right seat while someone else makes errors in those winds in an airplane I have under 100 hours in.  ;)

Since my day opened up, we had the house cleaned, I got groceries, and did the usual 'rainy day' things.

We had an EAA meeting tonight at Glenndale, and AE made ice cream and Chuck made peach and blackberry cobbler, all quite good. Ethan came and brought some of his wife's homemade bread and strawberry preserves--excellent stuff--which he just gave me to take home.  Thank you.

Starting tomorrow it's going to get busy around here.  Airshow event.  PT-26 rides are sold out ahead of time.  T-6 has sold 13 rides so far.  The C-45 only has two time slots left that haven't sold out.  I'm not sure on the BT-13. I know they had 5 rides and may have shut it down for more since they're not sure they'll have a rides pilot.  Weather looks great, and so far, this event looks like it's going to be really good sized on attendance, at least for ground ops.  :)

Tom's B-29 1/3 scale fuselage being towed into the paint booth tonight.
