Rainy Wednesday Off

I've finished going back in time on the blog here and filling in the past six days, with photos and such. Probably not as well as if I'd done it at the time, but it's better than not documenting it at all.

The weather that was supposed to be here yesterday actually got here today. It was COLD, and rainy.  In the 50's.  I wore a sweatshirt today!  Ugh. But I did sleep in until after 8 am, which was marvelous.  And I caught up on laundry and dishes.  And got all my photos downloaded, and uploaded onto Facebook, and shared and commented on each one enough that Facebook shut off my commenting ability to saying they think I might be a spammer.  :D  There were some really good shots out there though, and some of the best were from Steve's cousin Allen!  Great perspectives and coloring, different from the usual, someone with a different viewpoint. It was cool.

Today was the first official day of Fall. I'm trying not to panic, and staying busy so far helps with that.  I have some fun things into October, then it gets...darker.  It's already dark by 7:30 on an overcast night.  I hate that ticking noise in my head of time getting faster again to a point where it will come to a crawl for months. Many, dark, long, months.

For now I still have a few things to be stressed about. A C-45 checkride, maybe a T-6 from the back seat checkride, checking out a new person in their own plane in Michigan in their T-6, those three things are a good start.

But if I get too picky on myself or negative, I go back and think about some of the pretty cool things that happened this year and I can't help but relax and smile a little.  I was given an expensive headset as a thank you that will last me for the next decade or more, that I can listen to music or get phone calls or clearances on easily no matter what plane I'm in. I made new friends in this client and his family. I became 'noticed' in the CAF Headquarters.  I've checked out in a BT-13.  Went to my first NATA clinic and impressed most of them, earned some respect, finally, got a centerfold photo in the magazine, ha, and got to fly in a 20 ship formation at Oshkosh.  And got a check from them to cover the gas to do it.  From a flying perspective, this was a pretty cool year.  Meanwhile, Kaylee is doing well in school so far.  She's happy, healthy, has good friends.  From a business perspective, things are going okay.  Steve and I are healthy. We have been spared for the most part, so far, from losses via the pandemic. There are a lot of blessings to count.

No photos from today, but you have plenty of photos to look at from the last four days to keep you busy.  ;)
