Tower Day

I've had trouble sleeping the last two nights, so I hope that's solved tonight. I woke up and had to take medicine for a headache, too.  I keep waking up at 2, 4, 6 am, and that makes my headache worse. *sigh*  But this morning after the meds, I had coffee and water and peanut butter crackers for some protein and was on my way.

First up, Izzy and I went over to Muncie to do her tower controlled field takeoffs and landings. We were supposed to go at 10:30, we didn't leave till almost 11. So of course I missed lunch, but we ended up over there for 3 hours to get her comfortable enough to solo at the tower, and then do 3 full stop TOLS at the tower, and then get there and back. So we get to Kokomo, it's now 2 pm, and I got gas in the plane, then ran to McDonald's to get lunch before I lost it, I needed food, bad.  Snarfed that down, back out at the airplanes by 3 pm to take Mo to Purdue University's tower for practice.  She and I were together for 2 hours doing that.  I get back around 5 pm, leave the airport around 5:30, and stop in at CVS to pick up Ann's meds. I'm the 4th car in line and we don't move a single car in 20 minutes.  Finally 40 minutes later it was my turn, and I'm already grumpy, tired, and done. It's been non-stop all day.  I get back and go to do Ann's 6 pm dinner, late, and she's locked the deck door so I can't get inside. She's nowhere visible, doesn't hear the knocking, and isn't answering her phone or texts. For 30-40 minutes I can't get over there, and I'm standing outside, waiting, staring out the window, waiting.  Finally I see her go back out on the deck, and I go over, and she's working on her nose, which is now bleeding because she keeps rubbing it with a q-tip. I tell her not to touch it, to stop rubbing it, and she says she's not doing it, she's just stopping it from bleeding, but she keeps rubbing it. So finally I took the q-tip out of her hand and threw it away and hid her hand mirror so she'd stop looking at her nose.  Got her meds and dinner, and tried to go home and relax for a few minutes and stop being grumpy.

When I went back over at 9 pm for bed, she was confused, had a headache, but I got her to take her bedtime pill and a Tylenol and had her lie down and try to get some rest.

Long day. I'm still trying to relax here at 10:30 pm...

Purdue University from the air.
