Spencer took me over in the RG, and Cameron rode in the back seat. When we got there, Cameron rode back with me in the 340. We got up to 14,000', and weren't even done leveling off yet, and they started me right back down. Kind of funny. Short flight. I overtook the RG and they let me come in first. I shot the visual approach and Spencer shot the RNAV 14. I landed with a little rain shower happening, and got everything put away before the worst of the rain hit.
I ran out to McDonald's to get lunch, as it was now after 1:30 pm and I hadn't eaten anything since the day before. Came back in time to fly the 172 with someone who hadn't flown in 1.5 years, in part because of the Glenndale accident and his wife not wanting him to fly. He did great, and is definitely back in the saddle again and raring to go. :) He sent me a text later saying "thanks for being such a great and positive instructor. It helps my enthusiasm." I told him the truth-I enjoyed flying with him and he did a great job.
Steve and I went down to Breeze-Inn tonight and met with pilot folks for awhile, had a nice evening.
Interspersed in here is going next door 4 times, Steve two, me two. Ann has more trouble first thing in the morning with being awake/alert, and more trouble in the evening before bed with being anxious, fearful, a little more lost. She talks more about imaginary things at night. Early afternoon is her best time.
Kaylee learned fire building and how to do mountain bikes and boards, and will do evaluations, she said. Not sure of evaluations of what, but that was her stuff for yesterday. Today she just sent back an "I love you" with no details of what they did. But I think she is enjoying herself. :)
I've got some weird pain in my hands, mostly my right one. It almost feels like what I think arthritis feels like except it's not just the joints. It's in the joints too, a few fingers, but it's also in like the tissue of my thumb. It's weird, man. Just in the last few days, maybe week. What on earth would cause that?!
Cameron is the survivor of the Glenndale Accident. He went with me in the 340, and flew us home. I took a couple pics of him over there. He did pipe up when he saw a couple towers below us, the first time I've gotten any indication that he had any fears from the accident. I did my best to reassure him that we were well clear of them, and took a couple pics of him over there flying us home. The girls are going to be mad, Izzy and Mo, because today was their day off, so they weren't there, and if they'd been there one or two of them could have flown to Ohio with me instead of just Cameron. ;)
You can see the burn sleeve he still wears on his right arm
