I had a flight with a young lady, hadn't been able to fly for a month, we barely got it in, but we made it. We went to a nearby airport for cross country procedures, and she had to really fight the gusty crosswinds there. She did a good job with it, it was a lot for anyone, let alone a student.
After lunch, Spencer interviewed me for his podcast senior project. I'm the old person who flew before autopilots were common now, so that's the part of the podcast I have. Ha. Then I took the Aerostar and went to Muncie with him and Zak T, to pick up our 172s. Spencer took KS, Zak took 32L, and I went to Sheridan to pick him up. Nice big crosswind at Sheridan, gusting to 26 knots. Good times.
I went to KFC for dinner, wait in line for 12 minutes, then when I get up there they say "We're out of chicken for the next 30 minutes". Well, gee, thanks a lot. There's nothing else on this side of town. So I had to go clear to the other side of town for something else to eat. What kind of chicken place runs out of chicken? It's dinner time. Fix enough chicken for dinner time.
Ann hasn't been feeling well these last two days. Hopefully she wakes up feeling better tomorrow.
Gumby tonight on the way home from Sheridan
