More Stuff

It was a busy student day.  First thing was checkride prep with a 17 year old who is freaking out right now.  She's super nervous.  That always makes me nervous when they get so nervous they could sabotage themselves.  It's also a problem because her checkride day is supposed to be very windy, and she doesn't need that.  So...we're all on edge. I hate checkrides.  :p

After lunch, the winds were kicking up (again), but I took the T-6 up to check out the temperature. Spencer rode with me in the back seat.  Winds 270 gusting to 20 at the time, kicked up to 25 later. We just flew around for a little over half an hour. I brought it in for a landing and 3-pointed it hard enough that Spencer "oofed" in the back seat.  LOL  It wasn't as hard as he thinks, but from the back seat you're right over the tailwheel and feel everything the most.

A new guy stopped by interested in flight lessons, and Steve was busy, so I talked to him.  I'm not good at that but I covered most of it I think.

Last flight of the day was a young lady on cross-country stuff.  The winds were too bad for her to solo, so we went elsewhere.  She was having an off day, and ended up making a pretty big mistake that she is really upset about, but it was a great time to make that mistake--when I'm there.  And she won't make it again.  :)

I had a night flight too, from 9-11.  But I canceled him, because I also have an early morning flight tomorrow tomorrow, and had a morning flight today, and it was just too much, that one flight took me over the edge.  Poor guy.  But I can only do what I can do and I didn't want to be that tired tomorrow.

Steve and I moved all of the furniture out of Ann's bedroom tonight, because we have some fixing up happening in there.  Her ceiling is collapsing in a part, and they need to fix some cracks, and they'll repaint while they're all in there.  So Ann is living in the front bedroom for a few days until they get done.  It is a job pulling out all furniture, screws and plates and curtains and such, breaking down the bed, yadda yadda, but with three people working it went pretty fast.

I got my magazine in the mail today from AOPA with the article in it.  I'll have to save a copy for posterity sake, but I'm not advertising it. lol

Tomorrow is Ohio and Michigan and then a 6 pm flight when I get back.  Another busy day.  :)   No photos today...

This is a video of formation flying, when I got my formation card.  Some parts of it are long, but I thought it turned out pretty well for the most part.  :)
