When we got down there, we met up with a couple folks, and went to a seafood restaurant 7 minutes away, on the water, and I had a blackened redfish sandwich, with fresh home grown tomatoes, and I don't even LIKE tomatoes, but I liked THOSE tomatoes. Wonderful.
Left Florida and bucked 49 knot headwinds all the way home, and we were still home in under 3 hours. Still can't beat that. ;) I had a nice 50 degree crosswind gusting to 29 knots when I landed at Kokomo, had a boot full of rudder in, good and gusty.
My next stop was a school board meeting, where at least they provided dinner. We were supposed to have lasagna but Pastor Jeff cooked it for two hours in the oven...without turning on the oven. So it was still frozen. So someone else picked up pizza instead, and we had the salad and garlic bread from the lasagna with it. Haha. Oh, and fresh baked peach cobbler. That was pretty tasty, actually.
End of the school board meeting it was time to come home and try to figure out my week. I've got the 340 fellow who wants to go Wednesday when I was supposed to be helping Steve move airplanes to Muncie and back all day. A guy who wants to do his night flight from 9-11 pm and no matter what I'm at the airport at 8-9 the morning of and the next morning too, and then out there till 11 pm and not home till almost midnight? Ick. Depending on how early Wednesday morning I have to leave for my hour drive to Frankfort, I may cancel him Tuesday night. I already canceled him for weather once or twice, but this is not convenient...
