Same Day Part II

So far I've been up all day and night after 3 hours sleep, and a nap in the plane, sort of, since we all know I can't sleep in planes.

It's Monday morning now, and I have made it back to Kokomo around 10:30 am.  I take a much needed shower, put my contacts back in, get dressed, stop at Subway and pick up two sandwiches, and drive out to Kokomo, where the guys are topping off the Cheyenne.  I am flying a set of parents to watch their daughter who is playing in the Final Four basketball series for women, to Sioux City, Iowa.  That's farther away than expected, actually.  Because of my very long day and very little sleep, even though I was currently feeling fine, I took Steve along as a safety back-up.  The trip up we hit some rain and turbulence, but nothing too bad.  And I felt fine.  It was extra nice having so much more power and utility and capability.  I went from that Bo to that Cheyenne and it's a world of difference.  lol

The trip home, once I got on top at 31,000', and the sun hit in, I did get sleepy.  Fine, but sleepy.  Steve did the landing back at Kokomo for the practice of it, and while we waited for fuel, I dozed off on the couch. Like all the way out fell asleep on the couch at the hangar.  lol  He woke me up when he got the Cheyenne put away, and then we went out to dinner at Grindstone's, because we were both hungry.  I was almost too tired for it, but I wanted food.  I'm trying to stay awake so I go to bed at a normal hour and catch up.  Now it's almost midnight and I've caught that second wind thing.  So I'm doing this, and then I'm going to try to get some sleep tonight, I HOPE.  I could use a big hard sleep.  Tomorrow I go back to Sioux City to pick them up (their girl's team just lost the game so isn't moving on), and I don't have to leave here until like 10 am.  Awesome.  ;)

Two students tomorrow including a checkride prep girl whose ride is Wednesday.  Eek.

FL310

The two of us alone in an airplane just doesn't happen all that often, really.

Blue skies, smiling at me
