The Start

We went to Glenndale for lunch today, just about 10 of us, and had homemade biscuits and gravy, fruit, and an apple cinnamon cake.  It was nice to see a few people again on a cold, snowy Friday.

I had a 4 pm flight in the 172 that we were able to do, finally.  He's been trying every day for 3 days in a row, and the weather tanked until today.  We get out there and the last guy had plugged the wrong extension cord in, so there was no heat on the plane.  Fortunately 25 degrees isn't too cold to get it started without heat, but it's getting close.  The wrong technique would have been a problem.  Anyway, it was snowy and bleak and watery, and strangely pretty.  I prefer the pretty of Spring.  Or Summer.  Or Fall.  But it IS pretty.

Kaylee got our tree decorated all the way and has been gone all afternoon/evening.

Steve had the guys over on the deck tonight, and I shared a Grand Marnier and some dark chocolate for dessert with them, after my salad for dinner.  Tomorrow morning at 8:30 am I'm supposed to fly with a student and do tower controlled field TOLS.  I already know the plane is out of gas (well, not OUT), because they were closed when we got back tonight.  And it's going to be COLD out there.  And it's so early.  The weather is questionable for the morning too.  We shall see.  I should get to bed.

A guy asked if I'd check him out in a Navion.  I've Googled it.  Should be no problem.  ;)

Our tree, the deck lights, in the day.

The gold star was on the box of wine my friend in CA shipped to me. So I hung it on the tree.

Most of the rest of these are on the trip from Kokomo to Frankfort and back.

The runway is up there.
