It was "get stuff done around here" day. I caught up on house bills, email, laundry, dishes, paperwork. I reset a bunch of my passwords because Chrome said they were compromised. Published on a list somewhere online. Of course I use the same passwords for multiple things, considering you have about 200 things that require passwords, so I had to change multiple things once that one password was compromised. But as far as I know, nothing was actually breached. I did some of Ann's banking, and we did stop at Glenndale to pick up a package I had there. It was my new "Pop Socket" for my phone. I like it. :D
Kaylee is working on a final paper today and tomorrow, and then has asked us to get her Private Pilot Written Exam study books, so I picked those up today too. She painted a "Starry Night" painting on a Zoom painting lesson with her youth group friends, and it turned out nice, so we're going to hang that in her room when Steve gets a chance.
My deaf former tailwheel student asked if I'd write her a letter of recommendation towards a scholarship for her to finish up her Sport CFI. I'd be glad to, but I wish I had examples of other letters to know a little more on what they expect. I can at least write intelligently, but hopefully I cover what they expect.
On a Taildraggers page on Facebook, a guy posted this photo. His name is Bob Constanzas, since he didn't put his mark on this photo. He should, it's an awesome photo. He got in trouble on that page in the past for posting a photo of his airplane with a big American flag behind it. People got offended. At a Cub with an American flag. Since it was an American flag, he must be 1) A Trump supporter (what does THAT say??), and/or 2) A Nationalist because not everyone on that page is from America (then post your own flag with your own plane and fly it proud!). Ridiculous that you can't post a picture of your plane with your country's flag without people getting butt hurt. So I'm glad he posted another one, and I saved this one off. Super cool. I like the Santa hat on the prop, too. ;)
As you know, supplies are running a little low in stores again, some things more than others. I hadn't stocked up on paper towels like I did TP, so I went to get some online today. You can buy a SIX ROLL of Paper Towels on Amazon for $50.00. Yes, I said $50.00 for six "big" rolls. HOLY CRAP. I got out of there pretty fast. I'll get it locally and/or wait.
It's funny, last night Steve and I started a movie at 10 pm. No problem. Except it didn't end until 1:30 am, and by the time we knew that, we were already two hours invested in it. I mean, 1:30 am isn't too hard for me, but he doesn't do that. And even for me it was later than I have been staying up. Worst part about it was the movie we stayed up until 1:30 am to watch? It was a disaster movie. "2012". So it's high stress, high tension, high focus, people screaming and dying and things crashing and exploding and then it's like "okay, it's over, go to sleep now!" Ha.
I took these two photos outside of our house, four house after sunset, so very well dark. If you blow up the photos, you can see the stars in the sky. The moon was obviously very full, but the night photo capabilities of this phone still amaze me. It looks like a daylight photo. So cool.
Guess that's about it for now. I'll get a few more things done here before I lose energy, do Ann's 9 pm eye drops, then settle in and watch a little TV before bed. No reason to go to sleep early, since weather will make sure there's nothing special to wake up for tomorrow morning, either. ;)
