V-Day

Happy Hallmark Love Day!  :)

The scale moved more today, so that was a bonus.  Of course I ended up eating a big Valentine's Day dinner, so probably not the best, but boy it was delicious, and I didn't eat after 8 pm still, so hey.  ;)

The day started with a doctor's appointment.  Steve had harassed me about doing a general physical, because I hadn't gone in years.  I just wanted the blood work, but they insisted on a visit first.  So fine.  I went in, and they set down a paper gown and said "Take off all your clothes and put this on."  I'm like "what??"  She said "It's been since 2015 since you had any of this done, so we'll do that today."  UMMMM.  Great.  I ended up leaving still feeling perfectly healthy, but having gotten a very physical physical done, plus appointments to get that mammogram I put off from 6 months ago, plus an ultrasound, plus a dermatology appointment, plus an appointment for Monday for that blood work I wanted in the first place.  This is why you don't go to the doctor.  You go to one and you end up with four more appointments, and NOTHING IS WRONG in the first place.  You just get to spend a fortune and let people you don't know see and do things they don't need to see or do.  Bah Humbug.

The rest of the day was busy with errands and shipping and shopping and so forth, until Steve and I went down to Cicero to a place called "10 West" for dinner.  Amazing food, amazing(ly high) prices, but boy, it was good.  I'm still full.  Seared tuna appetizer, medium rare small steak, crab stuffed lobster tail, a sample of creamed corn, and whipped potatoes.  Steve got an 18 oz bone in steak, and has some left-over for tomorrow.

Kaylee's school loaded up a bus at 11 am to take them to Indy Airport.  As of 8 pm, they hadn't taken off yet.  They sat there from noon on.  I told her I could have gotten her to Florida, and gotten home, too, by then.  She said basically "Yeah, yeah."  lol  But she should be there now, checking into a hotel, and having fun with her friends.  :)
