Air Break

As of yesterday, I was flying to Iowa to pick up Jerry who was flying an ancient Cherokee 180, VFR only, home.  Then yesterday afternoon, Dustin texted me and asked if I could fly the C-340 to Kansas City, MO.  I said sure.  Money is good.  But that evening he texted back and said that trip was off.  So I was back to Iowa.  Then this morning, Jerry had to cancel his flight because he had to be home sooner.  Meanwhile, Steve was going to go to Tennessee with Nathan in the Cheyenne, but he had a computer problem pop up.  I was suddenly open, so I went to TN instead.  We didn't get to see a lot out the window, as weather was moving in, but it felt really good to sit in an airplane again.   I need to do more of that, and soon.  My itch is not scratched yet.  In fact, it may be worse.  I have things I need to do.  I need Walt to hurry up and be ready to have his T-6 flown, for one.  I need to actually fly, not just straight and level or autopilot it.

Kaylee got to her hotel late, and their luggage hadn't made it there yet.  So everyone went to bed and had to sleep in their jeans, which Kaylee said was super uncomfortable, and then their bags arrived at 2 am to their room.  This morning they were up early, and tired, and started their day.  She's texted a few times so far, she's having a good time, rubbing in the warm temps, and the good food.   So that's good.  Here are the few pictures she's sent so far.  I think you can figure out which one is Kaylee.  ;)
