Hump Day

School had a two-hour delay today for fog, which doesn't bother me any now that she's driving herself.  :D

Looking into where to get rid of all my old textbooks, I found a site where you could enter their ID numbers and they'd tell you how much they'll pay you for them.  For all 10 books I have, they came back and said they'd pay me $0.00.  Ha.  Obviously our textbooks are no longer worth anything.  But in continuing my Google search, I found that Goodwill will take old textbooks, and will get them to places who can utilize them.  So, works for me.  I have a whole stack of books on the floor ready to be boxed up and taken in, and I haven't even hardly begun going through all my shelves.  Such a project.  I do have a couple more shelves looking better though.

Tonight Steve and I went down to Kempton, to the Breeze In Pub.  We met up with about dozen folks and had the state's best grilled chicken sandwich (it's hugely thick and juicy).  They meet there every Wednesday, but Steve and I only go now and then, because it's a 40 minute drive down, it takes a long time to get your food and eat there, and then a 40 minute drive home.  So we left at like 5:45 and didn't get home until almost 9.  That's a long time for dinner.  But if you don't have a lot else going on, and can take the time, it's always nice to visit with friends and eat.  Tonight the waitress took our picture because she wanted to put it up on their Facebook page.  I just looked and it's not up yet, but I'll look for the photo tomorrow and save it off.  There are a few different faces than were in the Grindstone Charley's group photo, and a few of the same faces too.  Funny that we got two group photos in a row at restaurants we haunt.  :)

I got an email about a trip to Alabama next week.  Thank goodness.  The downside is that I'll just be a right seat instructor/passenger on this one as D will be flying, so I still won't have my hands on a plane, but the upside is that I'll get in the air, and I'll get paid for it.  We can certainly use the income, and I could certainly use the air time.  I feel my brain cells stagnating and my skill set rusting as we speak.

Kaylee came home from musical practice excited at the dances they practiced tonight.  She absolutely loves this stuff.  I'm kind of sad that by this time next month, it'll be her last play/musical in school, and she may or may not get to do any more elsewhere.  I'm glad she got a main cast part for this, and I'm glad she's enjoying her Senior year to pieces.  :)
