Prepping

We've been doing laundry and slowly getting everything ready for the upcoming trip.  We discovered that we don't know where my adapter/charger is for my cellphone/iPad.  Steve says he gave it to me, but I looked at Kaylee's and I've never seen anything like it.  So I don't know where it is, but fortunately supposedly Wal-Mart has them too.  Surely someone in town will, right?!

Kaylee says she didn't do laundry overseas last time and doesn't know that anyone else did either, so I have to pack enough for ten days in basically one bag and a small carry-on.  Plus leave room to bring home anything.  This is gonna be tricky!  So far I only have under-things packed.  I'm looking around wondering how I'm supposed to fit pants, shirts, sweatshirts, and toiletries in there too.  It's going to be tight.  And heavy!

Kaylee had a friend over last night.  Her friend M has two sisters, both were out of town, and she felt lonely, so she came over here for the night after she got off work at 9 pm.  I went shopping with Kaylee at Kohl's for some clothes for her, and then we went and sat in the parking lot of  IHOP for an hour waiting for M.  Finally M arrived and they ate a late dinner while I finally made it home.

Today finally felt like I had a bit of a day off.  Even though I did laundry and dishes and packing and picking up and stuff, I also had the place mostly to myself and caught up on some TV shows and relaxed a lot.  It was nice.

Tomorrow is my last day to get stuff ready.  It'll be cool and rainy in England and Scotland.  Oh, and Scotland would be spelled Scottland if I didn't have spell check.  That just seems more righter.  ;)

Steve spent the day at the airport with Nathan, Justin P, Jerry L, and Jon, working on airplanes.  They got the engine hung on the C-45, the T-6 cleaned up and ready for panels to go back on, and lots of smaller things.  Well-accomplished day.

I got Kaylee her own CVS card, in her name, email and phone number, and she was pleased by that.  It's the small things in life sometimes, isn't it?  ;)
