It is the last day of November already! Unbelievable. It was still so nice outside. A little windy by afternoon, but lovely. I had one flight for 1.3 in the 172, stalls, airspeed control, etc.
Kaylee is applying for various scholarships--for college--already. She texted me tonight that she goofed up. She was applying for a scholarship she didn't think she qualified for, but she thought she'd try it anyway. Afterwards she realized that she'd instead signed up for a modeling agency audition. She got back a message that a Talent Director from a Modeling and Acting place would be contacting her soon about an audition. Whoops. ;)
I was watching "Code Black" tonight, and it was another good one. Penn from Penn and Teller was a guest. One thing he said that made me laugh was to a young woman doctor who was a negative nelly on everything he did, hated his magic tricks, refused to be amused or lighten up no matter what, etc. He had a mass in his chest, and she said it was probably cancer, and he comes back with "You insist on being the knife to the balloon of life, don't ya." There are those folks, after all. :) He'd played a card trick with folks, and he was able to find their card right away in the pack. She picked the Queen of Hearts, and he didn't "find" it. At the end of the show, after the mass in his chest was found to be non-cancerous, he was doing a whole magic show for a group of children in the hospital. The last thing he did was tell this doctor at the back of the room to check her inside pants pocket. Of course in there was the Queen of Hearts card. She demanded to know how he did it, and he said "No. If I tell you how I did it, it's proof. You don't want to know how it works, you just want proof. Proof is easy. Faith. Now faith is Hard Damn Work." Truth.
