It was definitely Winter Storm Afternoon. I don't know how much snow we accumulated, probably not more than 3-4", but it was blowing around and looking unpleasant.
Steve had his prep for the colonoscopy tomorrow. Actually, it's been freakily non-interesting for him. Drinking 64 oz of Gatorade mixed with Miralax and 4 Dulcolax didn't taste bad and hasn't affected him in any terrible fashion, while still getting the job done. We were prepared for a nuclear fall-out over here, but it's been less interesting than a typical Friday night. ;) That's a good thing...
So, like I said, it was prep day, which also means no solid or dark-colored foods or drinks. Somewhere around 12:30, hunger became an issue, so we looked into what he COULD have. Part of it included jello, but said "No red Jello". I go to my cupboard, blow the dust off the jello boxes, and what do I find? Two each of Red Raspberry, Wild Strawberry, and Cherry. Heh. Six boxes of red jello. Which made me laugh. Eventually I did also find orange and lime, so I made those up, and Ann had some chicken broth, so I made him a lunch of jello and broth, and by the time he got to eat it, I think he thought it was a lunch of champions.
It was 5 pm when he went to hit the Gatorade thing, and said we didn't have enough. So I had to go back out to the store today. Let me paint what a pretty picture this was. I hadn't showered. My hair was a mess. I hadn't put any makeup on. I was in sweat pants and glasses. I walked into CVS and two people in there knew me, not best friends or airport people, but still felt the need to chat for a minute. Oh well. I got what I needed out of there anyway, even if I looked like a homeless person. ;)
We have to check in at the facility at 7 a.m., and his procedure isn't until 8:30. Terrible idea to do it that early on a day Kaylee doesn't have school and we could have all slept in! :P But so be it...
